Voters want to be able to verify that their votes were counted for the candidate which they chose.
Recently, there has been much controversy over election integrity, especially surrounding programmable machines and poll books which use wireless networks to relay information over the internet.
As we continue to discover more and more ways that our elections have been corrupted, it is time for a system which allows We the People to check the tech for ourselves.
VerifyTheVotes.com is a voluntary exit polling system which will allow users to see what it would be like if this type of system was adopted into our official election laws. If we are able to check our own ballot, then tally other ballots ourselves, we can work together to affirm the integrity of our systems. Whether it be machines or paper ballots, we can find out for ourselves.
By scrolling through the lists to find your ballot number, you can check each race for accuracy. Since the numbers are unique and random, no one can find your specific ballot by using poll book records. Your vote stays anonymous, but publicly available for verification. Additionally, you can scroll through and tally all of the votes to check the totals coming from clerks and workers. You can even download them into a spreadsheet to tally in seconds as a CSV document. Everyone can become a poll worker from their computer or smartphone!
